Natural factors
- Territory divided between morainic plateaus and hillside slopes, on the eastern side of the Sesia valley.
- Clayey and deep soils in the flat areas, more gravelly and loose on the west-facing slopes.
- The morainic hill develops along a north–south axis, divided into two parallel hill ridges.
Human factors
- The wine is cited by Pliny the Elder in the 1st century AD; a Roman sarcophagus of the 2nd century AD at Fara Novarese attests to a local wine merchant. (via Wikipedia · CC BY-SA 4.0)
