- Vineyards between 190 and 550 m above sea level on gently to moderately sloping hillside terrain with varied aspects.
- Sub-Mediterranean hill climate with 2–3 months of summer aridity and winter temperatures close to 2°C.
- Mean annual rainfall of 763 mm, with an autumn peak (270 mm) and a summer minimum (121 mm).
