Natural factors
- Soils on Pliocene sediments resting on a Paleozoic crystalline basement, with Miocene conglomerate outcrops.
- Climate ranging from subhumid to subarid, with a pronounced summer water deficit and a summer concentration of thermal efficiency.
- Sandy or conglomeratic formations dominate the hilly relief; soils are shallow to moderately deep, with hydromorphic conditions within 50 cm.
- On ancient fluvial terrace surfaces: moderately deep soils, medium texture, slightly acid reaction, with an argillic accumulation horizon.
