- Mediterranean climate with 2,400 hours of sunshine, a 275-day growing season, and rare frosts.
- Summer μελτέμια (NE winds) moderate summer temperatures and limit fungal diseases.
- Soils are clay-loam to αργιλώδες, slightly χαλικώδες, marly, alkaline, and rich in calcium and manganese.
- A flat zone at 160–250 m elevation, between Hymettus and Πεντελικό, with gentle slopes.
- Ripening-period rainfall of just 2.5 mm and a mean temperature of 27 °C during the ripening month ensure an early harvest.
Human factors
- Viticulture in Pallini dates to antiquity; it developed significantly in the late 19th century with the historic Ktima Kampa estate.
- Ktima Kampa & Ktima Matsa (founded 1875): both were designated as preserved monuments of Eastern Attica (Government Gazette 1195/1995 and 288/1986).
