Terroir
Natural factors
- Soils classified as Regosols, with a predominant substrate of arenaria, argille, and calcareniti.
- Lithological formations: dolomites, dolomitic limestones, Mesozoic–Tertiary limestones, and Tertiary terrigenous sediments (arenaria, varicoloured argille).
- Quaternary clastic and pyroclastic sediments mantle the upland reliefs and fill the flat-bottomed karstic depressions.
- Hilly zone with elevations ranging from 200 to 650 m a.s.l., falling within the entire Province of Benevento.
- Topography characterised by upland reliefs interspersed with karstic depressions and Quaternary erosional incisions.
