Natural factors
- The Шуменска lowland lies in the southeastern part of the Дунавска равнина; the Шуменско plateau rises to 500 m.
- Soils: carbonatic черноземи, grey forest soils, alluvial-deluvial meadow soils — ranging from light to heavy sandy-clay in texture.
- The valleys of the Kamchia and Vrana rivers cut through the lowland, channelling Black Sea influence and shaping the distinctive climate.
Human factors
- Permitted varieties: whites – Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling; reds – Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
- Pruning – mixed and spur pruning with a load of up to 54 buds per vine; planting density – maximum 450 vines per decare.

- White wines: pronounced varietal aroma, floral notes, a fresh and full palate with a long finish.
