• The lithological substrate consists of sands overlain by loess-like layers and an alternation of clays and marine sands.
• The relief presents an alternation of flat and hilly terrain, with elevations ranging from 100 to 300 m, oriented west to east, with aspect and slope gradient favourable to viticulture.
• The climate is temperate continental in character, with nuances imparted by both European and Atlantic air masses.
• Solar radiation averages over 120 kcal/cm² annually across most of the region, with values exceeding 140 kcal/cm² on south-facing sites.
• The soils have a medium to light texture that ensures good permeability and, by their nature, provides the optimal nutrient supply for vine cultivation.

• The white wines are distinguished by their extractiveness, balanced structure, and good acidity — characteristics imparted by the south-eastern aspect of the slopes and by the viticultural practices employed.
• The red wines are recognised for their finesse, supple tannins, and vivid colour — characters shaped by an additional heliothermal resource and by the light-textured soils.
