Lavilledieu
Terroir
Natural factors
- Alluvial plateau at approximately 85 m elevation, between the valleys of the Garonne and the Tarn, spanning 13 communes in the Tarn-et-Garonne
- Acidic soils with heterogeneous texture (silts, sands, clays), derived from alluvial deposits of the Tarn and Aveyron rivers originating in the Massif Central
- Generally flat topography, with gently rolling mounds and softly sloping hillsides carved by the tributaries of the Tarn
- The Autan wind (warm and dry, blowing from the south-east) accelerates budburst, flowering and véraison, and limits fungal disease pressure
