- A hilly zone east of Πάτρα with northeast or northwest exposure, ensuring cool summers in the vineyards.

- Coastal χαλικώδες expanses around the Ρίου–Αντιρρίου Bridge yield wines with a slightly differentiated profile.
- Maritime μεσογειακό κλίμα with an annual temperature range of 17–18 °C and rainfall of 600–800 mm.
- The well-drained soil and NE/NW exposure produce wines with characteristic Μοσχάτο aroma and a fruity character.
Human factors
- Traditionally, Μοσχάτο is either sun-dried or its fermentation is arrested by the addition of alcohol.
