Terroir

• Vineyards on the slopes of Vertiskos at an altitude of 620 m, with a south-westerly exposure towards Lake Lagkadá.
• Soil of light mechanical composition with hard layers, rocks, and stones, well-drained and with an acidic pH.
• Summer winds are among the factors that impart uniqueness to the ΠΓΕ wines.

• Archaeological finds of grape seeds and wine lees at Ossa document viticulture from antiquity.
• Systematic variety cultivation began in 1970; from 1996 the vineyards have been farmed organically.

• The uniqueness of the wines is attributed to the soil, the climate, and the influence of the summer winds, in combination with the grape varieties.
