Terroir

• The climate has continental characteristics, with an average annual precipitation of around 800 mm, hot summers, and cold winters.
• The soils are highly diverse and intermingled, predominantly calcareous, with remnants of volcanic rock still observable in places.
• Among the soil types, brown calcareous soils on calcareous sands, sandy marls, and acidic siliceous sands predominate, alongside sandy loam and clay loam soils.

• Harvesting in this wine-growing district is still carried out by hand, while vineyard management otherwise relies on mechanisation.
• The wine is produced and sold mainly at the estate, with some also reaching restaurants, shopping centres, and export markets, sustaining the connection between tourism and wine producers.

• Thanks to the favourable Pannonian climate, wines of exceptional quality are produced in this area, notably late-harvest styles and selections, and, in suitable vintages, ice wines and dry berry selections as well.
