• Vineyards on the northern slopes of Troodos, at 500–1,300 m elevation, with gradients of 20°–40°
• Volcanic, stony, and infertile soils; terraced vineyards for establishment on steep terrain
• Mild summers (22–24.8 °C) and cold winters (6–7.6 °C) — mean annual temperature 15.1 °C
• Numerous ravines and multiple mountain ranges create complex relief across the Troodos zone

• Varietal composition consists almost exclusively of Ντόπιο Μαύρο, Ξυνιστέρι, and to a lesser extent Μαραθεύτικο

• The volcanic, stony, and infertile soils at elevations of 500–1,300 m shape the mountain character of the wines
