Terroir
Natural factors
- A longitudinal valley in the Rhaetian Alps with a fully south-facing exposure, sheltered to the north and east by the alpine chain.
- Predominantly sandy soils, rich in skeletal material and humus, with a sub-acid reaction and a depth often limited to 40–120 cm.
- The Lago di Como basin, to the southwest, exerts a moderating influence on the valley's climate.
- Geographical position between the 46th and 46.5th northern parallels, in the province of Sondrio.
Product characteristics
- Vendemmia tardiva whites: straw yellow with golden highlights, a broad bouquet with mineral notes, and a full, elegant palate.
Terroir / wine link
