• The vineyards within the municipal territory of Bolyarovo are situated in southeastern Bulgaria, along the valley of the Tundzha River and on the northern slopes of the Sakar mountain range.
• The elevation of the area is 143 m, and the climate is transitional-continental with a weakly expressed Mediterranean influence.
• The total heat summation for the period with mean daily temperatures above 10 °C (April–October) is 3,750 °C, and the mean daily temperature of the warmest month ranges from 21.8 to 22.8 °C.
• Annual rainfall in the area totals approximately 577 mm, and the soils are cinnamon forest soils, ranging from light sandy-clay to heavy sandy-clay in texture.

• The authorised wine-grape varieties for the production of red and rosé wines under the protected designation of origin are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
• Vine pruning is mixed and short, with a bud load of up to 54 buds per vine, and the training systems include Umbrella, Moser, and mid-trunk double-arm cordon.

• The transitional-continental climate of the area is influenced by the Sakar mountain range, which provides good air drainage and temperature inversion, as well as by the mild Mediterranean influence channelled along the Tundzha River valley; these natural and climatic factors together give rise to the distinctive microclimate of the area.
• The natural and climatic factors, combined with the iron-rich cinnamon forest soils and the constraints imposed by human intervention, impart to the wine its characteristic sweetness, body, and fruitiness.
