Terroir

• The vineyards lie at the foot of the northern slopes of the Родопи, at approximately 200 m above sea level.
• Преходноконтинентален climate; mean annual precipitation 595 mm, heat summation for the growing season 4,350 °C.
• Soils: rendzinas (humus-carbonate), light to medium sandy-clay, alluvial and deluvial meadow soils.

• Permitted varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Мавруд — for red wines and rosé only.
• The blended wine reflects long-standing traditions shaped by the microclimate of the northern Родопи slopes.

• Blended red: ruby colour, aromas of forest fruits, blackberry, blackcurrant, and oak-derived vanilla; the palate is full-bodied and harmonious with a long finish.
• The structure is the result of three varieties: the tannic grip of Мавруд, the warmth and softness of Merlot, and the density and fruit aromatics of Cabernet Sauvignon.

• The mild climate of the northern Родопи slopes and the rendzina soils together shape the distinctive profile of the blend.
• The rendzinas (humus-carbonate soils) and the alluvial meadow soils around Брестник determine the terroir character of the appellation.
• The tannic structure of Мавруд, the softness of Merlot, and the fruit density of Cabernet Sauvignon are a direct expression of the variety–terroir combination.
