- In the marne of the hills of Rosazzo, Rocca Bernarda, Noax, and Buttrio, fossils of Nummulites, Assilinae, Alveolinae, gastropods, corals, and brachiopods are found at the surface.
- Sub-zone Cialla: a restricted territory in the northern part of the commune of Prepotto, on the border with Cividale del Friuli.
Human factors
