• Sub-Mediterranean climatic influences within the district are rare and are felt mainly in winter, when warm southerly winds occasionally blow.

• The blend Dolenjsko rdeče vino has a distinctly fruity bouquet reminiscent of raspberries, strawberries, and redcurrants.
