- Шуменска lowland in the south-eastern part of Дунавска равнина; vineyards are situated on the slopes of the Драгоевска mountain.
- Умереноконтинентален климат with hot summers and cold winters; proximity to Черно море exerts a notable influence.
- Prevailing north-westerly and north-easterly winds; sum of active temperatures above 10 °C (April–October) approximately 3,500 °C.
- Soils: dark grey forest soils, sandy and heavy sandy-clay — imparting a mineral character to the wines.
- Mean annual precipitation 660 mm; mean daily temperature in the warmest month 21.5 °C.
Human factors
- Vineyards are pruned using mixed and short systems, with a bud load of up to 54 buds per vine; planting density — maximum 450 vines per decare.
Product characteristics
- White wines: intense aromas of citrus, flowers and minerals, with freshness and a persistent fruity finish.
- Red wines: a fine, full aroma of red fruits, chocolate, vanilla and spices, with a full-bodied palate, volume and a long, gentle aftertaste.
