• The vineyards are situated in the south-eastern part of the Danubian hilly plain, at elevations of 200 to 250 metres above sea level, under a moderately continental climate.
• The basin through which the Kamchiya and Vrana rivers flow, together with gentle breezes from the Black Sea, shapes a specific microclimate for the area.
• The mean annual rainfall total in the area is 590 mm.
• The cumulative heat sum for the period with mean daily temperatures above 10 °C, spanning the months of April through October, ranges between 3,650 and 3,900 °C.
• The soils in the area are predominantly grey forest soils of a sandy-clay texture.

• The grape varieties authorised for the production of white wine under the protected designation of origin Han Krum are Traminer and Chardonnay.
• The training systems used in the vineyards are the Umbrella, Moser, and mid-trunk double-arm cordon; pruning is mixed and short, with a load of up to 54 buds per vine.

• Traminer wine is distinguished by a rich varietal bouquet dominated by rose, and a full-bodied palate with a sensation of fruit sweetness.
• Chardonnay wine impresses with a pronounced fruity aroma of southern fruits and a delicate, nutty palate.
