• Hilly-to-flat relief at 150–200 m a.s.l. at the foothills of the Balkan range, east of the Арбанашкото plateau.

• Natural air drainage makes late spring frosts and damaging winter freezes a rare occurrence.
• Soils: heavily leached черноземи (slightly eroded, mildly clayey) and dark grey/grey forest soils (heavy sandy-clayey).
• The Арбанашкото plateau blocks westerly winds and ensures a favourable temperature regime for the district.

• White wines: fruity aromas of southern fruits; palate fresh, soft, and balanced.
