Terroir

• The vineyards in the area of the village of Lozitsa lie in the northern part of the Danubian hilly plain, where the climate is continental with hot summers and cold winters.
• Total annual precipitation in the area is approximately 600 mm, and the cumulative temperature sum for the period with mean daily temperatures above 10 °C (April–October) is 3,850 °C.
• The mean daily temperature of the warmest month in the area is 23 °C.
• The soil types in the area are moderately leached chernozems, encompassing non-eroded, slightly eroded, moderately eroded, and severely eroded variants.

• The authorised wine-grape variety for the production of wine with the protected designation of origin Lozitsa is Cabernet Sauvignon.
• The training systems applied in the vineyards are Umbrella, Moser, and high-trunk double cordon, with pruning that is mixed and short, carrying a load of up to 54 buds per vine.

• The moderately continental climate of the high plateau above the Danube, good air drainage, light calcareous soils overlying a deep loess layer, and the human factor together contribute to a wine with a ruby-red colour, an aroma with notes of raisins, and a slightly astringent, supple palate.
