Natural factors

The vineyards are situated in the south-eastern part of the Danube hilly plain at an altitude of 80–100 m, with predominantly easterly and south-easterly aspects.
The climate is temperate continental, influenced by the proximity of the Black Sea, and is characterised by notably large diurnal temperature variations.
Annual rainfall totals approximately 590 mm; during September and October, when the grapes are ripening, precipitation is relatively low at around 75 mm.
The soils are calcareous chernozems, shallow to moderately deep, sandy-clay in texture, with a light granular structure that ensures good aeration and heat retention.
The cumulative heat sum for the period with mean daily temperatures above 10 °C (April–October) is 3,600–3,700 °C, and the mean daily temperature of the warmest month is 21.6 °C.

Product characteristics

The wine is characterised by floral aromas complemented by notes of peach, honey, and apricot, a fine and elegant structure, natural fruit-driven acidity, and a mineral character.
Ageing in barriques of selected oak imparts richness and body to the wine.

The calcareous chernozems, shallow to moderately deep and sandy-clay in texture, combined with a hilly relief of predominantly easterly and south-easterly aspect, favour the production of grapes with sugar content above 21% and acidity of around 8 g/l.
The temperate continental climate, influenced by air currents from the Black Sea, and the characteristically large diurnal temperature variations across the hilly terrain give rise to the wine's natural fruit-driven acidity and mineral character.
The well-aerated, warm soils with a light granular structure contribute to the wine's floral aromas, complemented by notes of peach, honey, and apricot.
