Terroir

• The vineyards lie at the foot of the southern slopes of Sredna Gora, at 170–260 m above sea level, with a gradient of 3°–6°.
• The climate is moderate continental; Sredna Gora blocks cold northerly air flows and ensures good ventilation during summer.
• Soils are colluvial-stony, alluvial-colluvial meadow, and leached cinnamon forest soils, of medium to heavy sandy-clay texture.
• Annual rainfall is 510–625 mm; the active temperature sum (above 10 °C, April–October) is 3,815 °C; the mean daily temperature of the warmest month is 23 °C.

• The wines are intensely coloured reds with aromas of red fruits and spices.
• The palate is velvety and full-bodied, with perceptible resinous notes and a lingering finish.

• The colluvial-stony and leached cinnamon forest soils contribute to a velvety, full-bodied palate with resinous notes in the red wines.
• The moderate continental climate, with an active temperature sum of 3,815 °C (April–October), allows full ripening and intense colour development.
• The combination of terroir and restricted yields (maximum 9,000 kg/ha) produces characteristic aromas of red fruits and spices with a lingering finish.
