Terroir

• The vineyards lie in the westernmost part of the Upper Thracian Lowland along the course of the Maritsa River, between the northern slopes of the Rhodopes and the eastern part of the Ihtimanska Sredna Gora.
• The climate is transitional continental, characterised by hot, dry summers and moderately cold winters.
• The total temperature sum for the period with average daily temperatures above 10 ºC (April–October) is 3800 ºC, and the sum of annual precipitation is about 550 mm.
• The average daily temperature of the warmest month is 23.6 ºC.
• The soil cover is represented by deluvial alluvial soils, slightly sandy-clayey, distinguished by significant sand content, looseness and freshness.

• The wine-grape varieties authorised for the production of wine with PDO "Pazardzhik" are Cabernet Sauvignon, Pamid and Mavrud.
• The maximum yield of wine from 100 kg of grapes is 65 l for red wines and 60 l for wines from the Pamid variety, and the training systems include umbrella, Moser and high-trunk double cordon with mixed pruning and short pruning of up to 54 buds per vine.

• The wines produced are deep ruby in colour, with pronounced aromas of black forest fruits and spices, a palate that is full-bodied and harmonious, with soft tannins.

• The microclimate, influenced by the northern slopes of the Rhodopes, the slopes of the Ihtimanska Sredna Gora and the Maritsa River, combined with the deluvial soils with significant sand content, looseness and freshness, determines the character of the wines produced.
