Terroir

• The vineyards are situated in the northern part of the hilly Danubian Plain at elevations of 150 to 300 metres above sea level.
• The climate is a typical temperate-continental one, with hot summers and cold winters; the cumulative heat sum for the April–October period is 3,900 degrees Celsius.
• The mean daily temperature of the warmest month is 23.6 degrees Celsius, and the mean annual precipitation totals between 550 and 600 millimetres.
• Soil types include typical and calcareous chernozems, slightly to moderately eroded, of medium to heavy sandy-clay texture, as well as dark grey forest soils and grey forest soils.

• Vine pruning is mixed and short, with a load of up to 54 buds per vine; training systems include Umbrella, Moser, and mid-trunk double-arm cordon.
• The permitted wine-grape varieties are Chardonnay for white wines, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Gamza for red wines and rosé.

• The white wines display fruity aromas with accents of citrus fruit, and a balanced, fresh, and harmonious palate.
• The red wines show fruity aromas and hints of sweet spice, soft tannin notes, a suggestion of oak contact, and a fruity finish.

• The pronounced continental climate, combined with the carbonate-rich chernozem soils and the constraints of human intervention, provides the conditions for producing wines with distinctive fruity aromas, a smooth and balanced palate, and a pleasant, soft finish.
