- Soils are argillo-loamy to αργιλώδη, slightly χαλικώδες, μαργώδη, alkaline, and rich in calcium and manganese.
- A flat αμπελουργική ζώνη between Hymettus and Πεντελικό, at an altitude of 160–250 m.
- Summer μελτέμια (north-easterly winds) moderate the high temperatures of the summer period.
- Dry summer months (ripening-period rainfall of 2.5 mm) prevent fungal diseases.
Human factors
