Natural factors
- The vineyards lie at the foot of the southwestern slopes of Сакар along the Maritsa river valley, at 150–300 m above sea level.
- The climate is transitional Mediterranean with a degree-day sum above 10 °C of 4,200 °C and annual precipitation of 600 mm.
- The soils are leached канелена горска почва and carbonate chernozem-like soils.
- The rolling relief and minimal rainfall, combined with the soil types, favour grapes rich in sugars (up to over 23%) and aromas.

- Permitted varieties: whites – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier; reds/rosé – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Мавруд, Malbec.
Product characteristics
- White wines: intense yellow-green colour, aromas of ripe yellow fruits; reds: deep ruby-red, with nuances of ripe dark fruits and jam.

- Transitional Mediterranean climate combined with leached канелена горска почва and carbonate chernozem-like soils yields grapes rich in sugars and aromas.
- Sugar content of up to over 23%, acidity around 7 g/dm³, giving wines with natural alcohol of 11.5–14% vol.
- The red wines display a deep ruby-red colour with nuances of ripe dark fruits and jammy tones — a direct result of the warm character of the region.
