Natural factors
- Central Upper Thracian Plain, north of Средна гора and Стара планина; predominantly sloping relief with mainly southern and south-eastern aspects.
- Mean elevation 160–190 m; преходноконтинентален climate with characteristic air currents that protect against fatally low winter temperatures.

- Two soil types: leached черноземи (heavy sandy-clay and light clay) and leached канелена горска почва (heavy sandy-clay).
- Protection from northern air masses provided by Средна гора and Стара планина, combined with soil conditions, ensures optimal vine development.
Product characteristics

- Red wines: deep red colour with a brownish hue (older vintages), forest fruits and spices, with dominant red fruit and blueberry.
