Terroir
Natural factors
- Northern slopes of the Плевенски височини, average altitude 240 m, within the hilly part of Дунавска равнина.
- Continental climate: hot summers, cold winters; annual rainfall approx. 650 mm; active temperature sum (>10 °C) – 3,800 °C.
- Soils: leached черноземи (medium-depth, eroded) and dark grey forest soils (moderately eroded).
- The dark grey forest soils are formed on non-calcareous dark-coloured clays, red-brown clays, and sandy-clayey materials.
- The soil and climate conditions yield grapes with a sugar content of 23% and acidity of 7 g/dm³, producing a natural alcohol level of 12.5–13% vol.
Product characteristics

- Natural alcohol content reaches 12.5–13% vol., with grape sugar levels of 23% and acidity of 7 g/dm³.
